Trevor Gordon.

Miles Jackler and Jonny's Nova Rito.

Trevor, Jason, Herbie.

I really enjoy lugging my camera around with the guys when we go check the surf or just hang out and play music...The moments are just too priceless right now and I'm soaking it all in.

Friends make the world go round.

T.rvor feeling Fushy

Trevor and I sat down and devised a new shred sled for his recent and upcoming travels on his Patagonia testing missions.

She's 5'6 x 19" x 2 1/4" and EPS/Epoxy, built for solid waves, steep rivermouths and reefs especially. Its a very compact little fish template with a pulled in nose, very light triplane bottom and an upside down vee leading into the fins and out the tail...Her name is the Fus.h

Already got some very productive testing in, too :)

Craggs and Flags

There's a weird divide somewhere just north of LA.  It becomes just a little more...how to say...mysterious.

I get a little jealous of the material that the guys down south can produce with all the talent, boards, waves and knowledge thats down there...then Connor and I flip through the volumes of photos of secret sessions and sunset solos that we keep to ourselves and our friends and it fades away.

Itching For Some...

These guys do it SO right...attitude, shred level, flex, speed, fun, perfect.

Just Did It

Spencer Lyon on one of his creations...A lot of people have asked me for a while why I haven't gotten into alaias; I've been waiting to do it the right way, with someone who has put in the time and effort that I couldn't.

Spence fits the bill.

more photos coming shortly...hold yer horsies.

Two new boards located at Wetsand Surf Shop in Ventura now...

This purple-hazey AsymmetricHull

and this supernuggety little 6'3" hullstub...hull to big single concave out the tail; lots of drive and tons of acceleration for big carves.

Chuck and crew down there do an insane job of spreading PCpelican stoke around the area...Boards seem to go through there like nobodies business so go check these out if you feel the urge!

Jason G's new 5' flextail ride.

For use on the knees or if you get cocky, give it a whirl on yer feet!

Customs will forever rule.

Party People

A rainy, cold, flat day like today seems like the perfect time to unveil the most stoke-generating shape I've put together in a whiiiiile........

6'5" x 20" x 2 3/4" of foam, widepoint forward and a drawn out, narrow tail...triplane nose and mid section to keep the hull rail line but add some looseness and slip, then exiting with a double concave to spiral vee. Low all-around rocker with a slight flip in the nose and pinched-down rails that are a bit larger in radius than usual in order to slow the thing down a little.
This puppy is shaped for solid drops and heavy tubes around the SB area; What I wanted to shape was a really good solid-wave board that could be used on small days but had all the right ingredients for the big stuff also.

I'm gonna make Connor and Trevor and I one for deeper water excursions.
Its time for winter!

Gettin' Some Sweet Air

Kabir sent me these after he flew over the shop the other day...occasionally he'll take to the skies from up on the mountains, cruise down over the boatyard and then call me. We always do the standard ooooh look there he is, and then a few hours later I get pictures in my email like this one...man...cool place to live.

On a side note, check out the new SB Independant for Travers' cover story/journal chronicling the first few days of swell here in town with Kyle, Will and everyone! Sweet shot of Albers on the she hull in there, also!

Maybe Its MaybHullene

Now it's a full-blown conspiracy.

My face will never actually show in print.

Though this is the largest one I've spotted, it still doesn't contain anything at all that could identify it as me...thats just how I roll...I think.

Trevor did a pretty good job for himself though:

both from the new Surfing magazeen:

cool beans...morg's photos are blowin' up our spot :)

Its a very comforting thing to know that everything you do, all the time you spend toiling and covered in shit is all to allow you the freedom to live your passions and explore the things that unfold in front of you daily.

we've all got different ways of going about it and some conflict, relax and sink into your own existence and watch everything but what you love fade away.

Jonny Mack made my website, and he made it right...So I made him a couple of boards, here they is:

True blue tinted Flex Spoon....5' to fit.

Alongside his 7' Vampire Hull

Spoon foil...and his 7'11 miniglider from a little bit ago:

Nice little quiver :)

Run 'Till You Hit The Ocean

Like I've said to anyone I've talked to about music, go. see. the white buffalo. LIVE.

It's something I've tried to share with all of my friends who are interested, I'm just glad that a friend cued me into him a couple of years ago...pass it on if you like it.

If you were here you saw it...If you missed it, I hope it finds you soon.
The sights, sessions, stories and friends over past week will be burned into my memory forever.
